Adult Rat Terriers

Some of our wonderful adult dogs that have served admirably for years are ready to retire, as noted below. They are still active and want to be working so a farm is the ideal place for them to call their next home. Our dogs are very social and we prefer they go in pairs, so please consider adopting more than one, if possible. For the right home, there's no cost for each dog. Please give us a call or send a message if you are interested in providing a loving home for any of our adult dogs.

All our adults are PLL (Primary Lense Luxation) tested with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or clear/normal by parentage.

Our puppies are produced from Clear to Clear parents or Clear to Carrier parents as mentioned in Breeding Strategy and Advice so there is no chance to produce pups with PLL, but they may be carriers. This can only happen with the Clear to Carrier breedings, and puppies produced from these breedings will need to be OFA tested if bought for breeding.

Dr. Keller from the OFA confirmed these breeding characteristics:

A clear to carrier mating will statistically produce 50% clear and 50% carriers without risk of developing PLL.

Thank you.
